[mythtv] Myth Appeance Settings

I seem to have a problem with the Appearance settings in Mythfrontend.
The GUI X and Y offset set ok when I exit out of the Appearance settings
the first time. When I exit out of Mythfrontend and load it back up the
offsets do not appear to set. 
If I go back into appearance again and exit, the offset comes back. 
Does this make sense??
