[mythtv] Does not play video

Hi folks,

With no answer to my previous problem I will go
ahead and introduce this new one and hope for the best.

I am unable to play recordings with a patched mplayer, and
MythTV doesn't play it's own recordings nor does it allow
me to watch live tv?

Mplayer complains that the file is not recognized, while
MythTV doesn't say anything.  It just sits there and
appears locked up.  I hear sound, and running it through
ddd I can see were it initializes the card and Nupple
but I don't see where it starts to play video.

All I'm asking for is some ideas on where to start to
debug this thing. 

I've tried the original Nupple stuff and it records and
plays it's own videos.

My tv hardware works.

120G hard drive
