I have the same problem (with the same processor - go figure) but my HD is really old (probably an ATA33, 5400RPM) and so I figured my disk couldn't keep up. It is down for repairs right now or I'd tell you my hdparm's, but that was my guess...since rtjpeg is a larger file, maybe the HD just couldn't keep up... Nate
