So, I pretty much followed the G200 Howto for X config, etc.
Once X has started, I do the following in the listed order:
1) mgavideo-0.1.1b/driver/iv4l1
2) matroxset -f /dev/fb1 -m 0
3) matroxset -f /dev/fb0 -m 3
4) matroxset -f /dev/fb0 -o 1 2
5) fbset -fb /dev/fb0 -upper 77 -lower 20 -left 36 -right 2 -hslen 46
-vslen 4 -depth 16 -laced false -bcast true
Then I restore the alsamixer state and run mythbackend and mythfrontend.

I just realized that your posting seems to indicate that you have the
G400-TV with framebuffer and mgavideo drivers all working together. I
would greatly appreciate you sharing your setup. I'm currently to the
point that I have the framebuffer working fine, displaying to tvout, but
when i load the mgavideo drivers it seems to disable the tvout of X.
