I have a multi-DVR household and this sounded very interesting to me.  Will 
this be added as a module of MythTV?

MythTV is an excellent implementation.  I have been reading through the 
documentation and mailing lists for a few weeks and will be setting up my 
own box soon.  Thanks for all your great work!
