[mythtv] Various useability grumblings

I've been using mythtv for about a year now, and I really like it.
However, over that time I've noticed a couple of things.
Mythmusic- It just doesn't seems to handle a large collection very
well. I've got my entire music collection ripping to mp3 (over 12,000
songs) and I whenever a choose a significant percentage of them, myth
starts having problems. Most noticibly it will take several minutes for
myth to go from one track to the next, esp. in random mode. Needless to
say mpg123 can handle a flat file of these songs maybe taking 1/10 of a
second between them. If I keep the playlist small there aren't any
problems. On the whole mythmusic seems sluggish, though.
Mythgame- It would be *extremely* nice if we could specify our own
options for the commands instead of relying on the menu-driven config.
For example, xmame.xgl (xmame.sdl screws up nvtv and xmame.x11 doesn't
scale well) will not work with the regular xmame options supplied by
mythgame and I have to slaughter the source (I'm not a programmer) in
order for it work correctly. The same goes for the other emulators (I
find zsnes vastly superior to snes9x). If there was just a place in the
GUI or database to override the command arguments (like mythvideo)
things would be splendid. Along with that would go the option to choose
all games in a directory and not do the testing which seems to make half
of the games (which work) not show up.
Anyway, thanks for your time,
JG
