Thanks fpr the quick reply. I checked the qt-libs again. I had the 
qt3-libraries in a threaded and non-threaded version installed with the 
non-threaded headers. Seems the compiler tried to link the threaded version 
eventhough the non-threaded includes were used.

The qt3-mysql headers are apparently included in the qt3-dev package!
