[mythtv] Almost installed

I thought I had a good install going until I
started mythfrontend and got an error regarding
my connection to the backend

Any help you can provide would be much
appreciated.  Thanks.
Here are the steps I followed prior to starting
mythbackend: 

[root at localhost root]# export VISUAL=/usr/bin/kedit
[root at localhost root]# crontab -e
no crontab for root - using an empty one
crontab: installing new crontab
[root at localhost root]# mythbackend &
[1] 10040
[root at localhost root]# Starting up as the master
server.
2003-12-01 23:29:52 Enabled verbose msgs :
important general
Unable to create
'/mnt/store/record//nfslockfile.lock'!
Be sure that '/mnt/store/record/' exists and that
both
the directory and that file are writeble by this
user.
open lockfile: Success

[1]+  Exit 255                mythbackend
