FYI, when attempting this on mpeg files from a pvr-250, it seems to only
write to the output file, in spite of what it says on stdout:
[russ at star /opt]$ mythtranscode -k -f fifos -c 1050 -s 2003-08-08-23-00 -p Transcode-Archival
Transcoding from /opt/recordings/1050_20030808230000_20030809000000.nuv to /opt/recordings/1050_20030808230000_20030809000000.nuv.tmp
Input #0, mpeg, from
'/opt/recordings/1050_20030808230000_20030809000000.nuv':
Stream #0.0: Video: mpegvideo, 720x480, 29.97 fps, 16000 kb/s
Stream #0.1: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s
Position map found
Created video fifo: fifos/vidout
Created audio fifo: fifos/audout
CreatedThreads
After this, the .tmp file slowly grows, and nothing ever seems to appear in
the fifos.
I know mpeg files are not necessarily supported, but thought a status update
might be in order...
