It appeared when the preset was implemented, so:

-channum: Number used by the user to change to a channel (preset)
-freqid: real channel number to be used for tuning.

Although na users will very likely have both to the same values, that
provides a chance to have distinct values on it, therefore, have a preset.

I'm curious about how channum can get empty.... I'll try to find that.
