hmm, odd i guess that it deemed removable. that point in the faq just
dealt with off by one issues. not sure if you're indicating that thats
a change the canadian cable made automatically that needs to be done
manually now, it seemed to me last night that the channels seemed to
match up ok.

over the last three days i have been working to get mythtv installed,
and finally succeeded late (really late) last night. i had (have) a few
issues that i am still in the process of resolving, but would like to
start working on contirubuting here. overall, this is a remarkably
professional looking product, aside from its technical merits (which are
substantial), i think its great to see it looking and feeling so good.
 i'm very excited.

the first place i can think of, is providing feedback about the
installation docs. shoudl those comments be sent here? forget comments
and just send patches? or contact the author directly?

secondly, i'm new new to this project. i'm an experienced c++
programmer, but this will be my first foray into qt, my first linux
based gui app in fact. i'm pretty sure that part won't be a problem,
but we'll see. the main thing i think i'm concerned about, i've already
seem on this list an unfortunately overlap of efforts, and wonder if
there is any sort of list of things that need to be looked at and if its
being worked on. is it pretty much just announce to this list that
you're going to tackle something and see if someone shouts back?

thanks!
