Where is the crash?  Are you saying there was a segmentation fault at this
point, or that it hung here?

What version of Qt are you running?  This stack trace shows a thread in the
process of destroying a Qt object from the MySQL plugin, a process which
should not be affected by anything in the calling code in this case.
