[mythtv] (OT) gentoo and mythtv

I'm currently setting up MythTV on my geentoo box.  MythGallery and
MythMusic work but I don't get a picture from MythTV, see MythTV - No
Picture, but I think that has something to do with my lack of
experience, and thelack of installation of ALSA.  The install wasn't
that hard but there were difficulties and I did wish a little for a
simple emerge but I got through.  I would really like to see mythtv in
the portage tree because I think that support and the user base would
grow fast.  Certainly not as much as rpm or apt where people may install
it once (i.e. installed with the distro) and not update it.
