[mythtv] Will a Linux Installation survive migration to another PC?

Rebuild your kernel before you move it across to the new machine. It may 
require different motherboard/IDE chipset stuff to be compiled in, unless 
you're using one of the all-built-in kernels that comes off the install CD. 
At least, if it doesn't work, you can always move the disk back to the old 
mobo/cpu to fix it :)

You'll want to recompile the kernel anyway, as the athlon optimisations are 
different from the Pentium ones.
