[mythtv] I want a Clear Picture

You want to modify your /etc/modules.conf file to include the following 2
lines.

options tuner type=2
options bttv pll=1 card=1

I use an ATI TV Wonder and this is what cleared up my problems with Mandrake
9.

If there are any lines currently in there that have bttv in them comment
them out by putting a # in front of the line.
