[mythtv] Can't run Muth - VIDIOCSYNC error

When I run the Myth Frontend (Release 0.7), it comes up and I go to the
TV icon to watch TV. In the console where I ran it, this occurs:

Probed: /dev/video0 - Television
Probed: /dev/video0 - Composite1
VIDIOCSYNC0: Invalid argument
VIDIOCSYNC1: Invalid argument
VIDIOCSYNC0: Invalid argument
VIDIOCSYNC1: Invalid argument
.... over and over again ...

It will freeze the machine unless I Ctrl-C fast enough in the console to
get it to exit. I have a ATI TV Wonder VE, a SoundBlaster PCI 16. The
computer is a Athlon XP1800+. I am running on RedHat 8.0.
