[mythtv] some questions

Hello,
	I plan to purchase a tv tuner card soon to use myth tv with.
I have noticed that many of the cards out there are mono only.  Can I use the 
audio in of my sound card and the rca video in of the tuner card?  I know 
I'll have to build a little transmitter for lirc to change channels on the 
cable box this way, but that its not a problem...


btw., does myth tv have support for changing channels on a cable box with a 
infrared transmitter using lirc already, or would I need to add that?
