[mythtv] error -- command not found

I can't get mythtv running.  I am running Mandrake 9.0 with Voodoo 3500TV,
SB Live.  I have the drivers working from v3tv project.  I can start 
xawtv and
view/hear just fine.  However when I start mythtv I get the 
following....and it
just sits there...(both root and as a user)


[root@bigbull setup]# mythtv
Session management error: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the 
authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based 
authentication failed
Probed: /dev/video - TV Tuner
Probed: /dev/video - Composite input
Probed: /dev/video - S-Video input
sh: line 1: 3: command not found
Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
VIDOCGMBUF:: Bad address


Anybody know what command it is trying to run that gives me the
sh: line 1: 3: command not found?   How about the VIDOCGMBUF?
Yes it is misspelled....I have also compiled from the cvs tarball with
the same results.  mythfrontend runs ok and I can view the schedule
from xmltv correct also.  Just can't start mythtv
