 Thanks a quick check shows the fix to work well.
 The subtitle issue is still there when software de-interlacing.

 VideoOutput: SetDeinterlacing (Doublerate 1): Single High|CPU Double
 High|CPU

 but not when

 VideoOutput: SetDeinterlacing (Doublerate 1): Single High|CPU|GLSL|DRIVER
 Double High|CPU|GLSL|DRIVE

 All other things being equal.
 Will raise as new issue - many thanks
