Comment:

 Note that you cannot use OpenGL with the QT theme painter. Because vaapi
 uses OpenGL you cannot use vaapi with QT theme painter.

 I do not really understand the issue. If you have OpenGL theme painter and
 select VAAPI or VAAPI2 in the playback profile, what happens?

 Also please let us know the version of MythTV.
