 No, it does not work.

 The top bar remains unchanged as the image slides up 'underneath' it.
 More of the lower part of the image is displayed but the top is truncated.
 With the same input video (1280x720) the amount of offset needed to put
 the bottom of the image at the bottom of the screen varies with the
 playback video size.
