 Have you tried this?

 While playing a video or recording that is offset:
 * Press M (menu)
 * select Video
 * select Manual Zoom Mode
 * down arrow a few times
 * press enter when picture is OK
 Does this work? At least it could be  workaround until we figure out what
 causes this. Unfortunately you would have to do this for each playback.
