 !AirPlay is irrelevant here. The same issue can be seen by playing the
 sources via Video or Gallery.

 The underlying issue is !MythPlayer doesn't cope with Apple videos because
 of their structure: the video & audio is too dispersed. By the time the
 video packets are decoded the audio buffer overflows and the player starts
 extreme re-syncing.

 Attaching a python script derived from
 https://github.com/zeroepoch/plotbitrate and some samples to illustrate.
 It's dated but works for me (Ubuntu 17.10) after installation of
 python3-matplotlib and python3-tk
