 Neither of these techniques fixes the problem I'm reporting.  In fact,
 both of them, if used on a working recording, introduce the corruption
 into the seek table.  I believe this is due to the ffmpeg libraries
 returning 0 as the duration of packets in this type of stream.

 The stream is h.264 high profile video in an mpegts container, with 48kHz
 AAC stereo audio.
