 Since you have two machines with identical cards, could you record the
 same programme on both? Are they both fed by the same aerial? If you get
 the same pixelation from the same aerial then it's likely interference.

 Most new preamplifiers say they filter 4G, not sure if that's an issue
 where you are but maybe a new 4G mast started a few months ago?
