 I suppose it's possible that a cron job could be responsible and be linked
 to your updates, but what you have told us sounds more like interference
 from something that operates briefly and confuses or even swamps your
 tuner.  The effects wouldn't necessarily be identical on every tuner - and
 it appears that you are asking your aerial to drive eight.  Do you see the
 problem on all muxes?

 Remote diagnosis is going to be mainly guesswork. Have you googled
 'freeview interference' ?
