 I will look into this. If you need to use it now, you can try the
 following workaround:
 In Mythmote press the wrench icon and set the button press long action to
 "edit key binding". Then long-press on fast-forward and change the key
 binding from "play seek forward" to "key period", "play seek back" to "key
 comma", pause and play to "key p". See

 Fast forward may not work well on the raspberry pi. I prefer to use
 forward and back arrows, which I have set to jump forward 1 minute and
 back 20 seconds. You may find that preferable.
