 If you know of a better solution or have better insight into the problem
 please feel free to reverse what I did and change the code. The problem
 only happened on ubuntu 16.10 (yakkety) and if you have something better
 but cannot test it, I can test it.

 Do you think I should try
 networkManager->setConfiguration(networkManager->configuration()); ? It
 seems that this would have no effect, just setting it to the same object
 it already uses.
