 I can't reproduce this. There is an increase in used FD's while playing
 most get close on exit from the player and the remaining ones timeout
 after a few minutes so the total FD's used AFAICT stays the same.

 I'm getting about 255 FD's using lsof -p PID | wc -l to count them.

 This was master on a remote frontend.

 Anyone else able to reproduce?
