 Using Mythbuntu Control Centre updated the repositories selection to from
 .27 to .28.  Searched for new updates.  Didn't locate any.  Rebooted host.
 Now functionality is restored.  Didn't see any changes made.  Chalk this
 up to FM.  Or running the php-mysqli install, and now rebooting might have
 been the fix, but unconfirmed.

 Please close case.
