 Syncing the frontend and backend as above is not enough.
 mythmetadatalookup.log now contains the line:

 Jan 21 16:00:46 studio64 mythmetadatalookup: mythmetadatalookup[3624]: W
 CoreContext mythcorecontext.cpp:231 (Init) This application is not
 compatible with the installed MythTV libraries. Please recompile after a
 make distclean
