 Quick comment.  It appears that this is journal *or* syslog.  And while
 using both might not make a lot of sense, it would seem that that should
 be supported ( <cmd> --syslog --journal) and/or you need to expand the
 command line processing to explicitly mark journalling as a conflict with
 syslog (rather than ignoring --syslog if specified) using the various
 combinations of setblocks in the parser.
