 Thank you, that works. It took a while to figure out how to upgrade qt.
 The way I finally upgraded is by using the PPA canonical-qt5-edgers
 /backup-qt551 (https://launchpad.net/~canonical-qt5-edgers/+archive/ubuntu
 /backup-qt551). Install package qt5-default from there.
