 Mariadb and mythtv are the top memory consumers on my system, and after
 downgrading them to their previous versions I'm still getting those oom
 crashes. Consequently, I'm fairly convinced mythtv isn't the cause of
 them. I suggest reverting my patch and applying bmeek's instead.
