Comment:

 Please move your wishlist discussion to mythtv-dev or mythtv-users.
 MythTV expects exclusive use to all configured tuners and does not support
 any form of failover.  This patch is only being reconsidered as an extra
 protection to prevent another application from taking the tuner while a
 recording is in progress.
