 At least here the problem is not directly related to HD recordings. I have
 the timeout set to 5000ms and even that didn't help the situation at all.

 I just checked again and I still haven't got the previously mentioned
 error log line or failed recordings, after I enabled the "Wait for the SEQ
 start header" option for every card.
