 Within the Video Display menu, a manual scan for changes takes several
 minutes on Front End to the point where it appears to hang the system.  I
 have two dedicated Front Ends and one combined Back End/Front End.  On the
 combined BE/FE there is no local delay.  Prior to this weekend, I had a FE
 based on Mythbuntu 12.04 and rebuilt the hardware and as a consequence,
 installed Mythbuntu 14.04 with .27 Mythtv. After the rebuilt, the
 experience is the same on both FEs (delay). Logging suggests a disconnect
 from the BE. on screen, numerous pop ups for MythContext back online.
