 opening rtsp:// url from mythavtest won't work without some work as FFmpeg
 doesn't have a transport protocol support for it.

 list of protocol transport:
 http://www.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-protocols.html

 so mythavtest can support rtp:// and srtp:// and tcp:// easily; but that's
 about it at this stage
