 * milestone:  0.27 => 0.28


Comment:

 The bulk metadata grabber functions off the filtered tree structure in the
 frontend, and would require too much restructuring to fix to be put in for
 0.27. I'll take care of this when I move the scanner completely into the
 backend for 0.28.
