 Sorry I've delayed in responding but I can't decide whether the problem is
 gone.

 I'm using the patch on the MB. I am now at commit efdba7e
 The listings update script creates the xml file and then calls:

 mythfilldatabase  --refresh 0-14 --file --sourceid 4 --xmlfile xmltv-
 source4.xml

 After it ran by cron job, I saw in the upcoming recordings in mythweb that
 irrelevant shows would be recorded. By running it once more against the
 same xml file the irrelevant entries went away.
