 I have been running without commflagging for about two weeks now with no
 crashes.  Other than a local power failure the system has been rock solid
 without commflagging.  EIT has never been turned on on my system, so we
 may be looking at two completely different situations.

 FYI:  On the backend setup, for your DVB tuners, go into "Recording
 Options" and uncheck "Use DVB card for active EIT scan."  At least that's
 what I've done when I installed the cards as recommended on some post.
