 more and more distros are removing OSS (i.e. ubuntu 10.10). Now ALSA is a
 valid audio input for V4L analog capture card. However the default
 selection list is ALSA:(default) which seems to work well with the default
 input (the mic in my case), and well maybe I am stupid but I could never
 get the alsa input to work with the output for my capture card. I could
 get the audio to work with ALSA mixer for -C1 card. I am not sure if this
 is a syntax issue when I typed in the ALSA address...

 Anyhow I think it would be very helpful if you could add the SCAN FOR ALSA
 DEVICES on the V4L analog capture card setup. maybe something like what
 was done for the audio out in 0.24
