Log:

I overlooked one valid objection to auto-hiding and that involves touchscreens. So restore the mouse cursor setting for now and allow it to override the auto-hide behaviour. The help text has changed to mention touchscreens and the default is now 'false' since the auto-hide behaviour is better for first time or desktop users.
