Comment:

 The wide range of unrelated symptoms you are reporting, combined with the
 fact that no-one else is reporting anything similar tends to suggest a
 problem with your hardware or distro and not MythTV itself. It's rather
 hard to point to anything specific, bad disk controllers, HDDs that is
 just too slow, bad stick of RAM, network that is dropping packets or a
 mis-configured firewall ... there are countless possibilities.

 If you want us to continue debugging all the possible MythTV angles, then
 we need a backtrace of frozen backend process.
