 thanks Mark,
 note I haven't seen a crash in the last few weeks, so I'm probably not a
 good test case any more, and I have also upgraded my video card to a GT220
 which has improved performance and stability, so I think it was some
 memory/buffer shortage in my old 8400 card, but definitely some
 crash/recovery would be good during in video playback would be good
