 [23397] is not a regression; it just exposes two existing bugs:

 1. Backend reconnection fails inside SendReceiveStringList - I have
 submitted patch #8024 for this issue.

 2. Segfault related to the popup window - someone better versed in the UI
 will need to check this one.
