#8385: DVD/ISO playback issues

I've tested this on two different sets of hardware using Mythdora 12.23
and Mythbuntu 10.04 with the same result. I wasn't able to find a ticket
describing this problem.
When I insert a DVD and go to Optical Disk | Play DVD, I get an error
"Video frame buffering failed too many times." I've tried 3 different
DVDs. The same happens if I go to Media Library | Watch Vidoes and select
an ISO (tried 3 different ISO... different ISOs than the DVD movies
above.) In both Mythdora and Mythbuntu, I've noticed strange behavior
when launching an ISO from Mythvideo. When I attempt to watch an ISO,
I've noticed that the DVD drive spins up and attempts to display the DVD
in the drive. Again, I've navigated to Media Library | Watch Videos,
selected an ISO to play, and the DVD drive spins up and attempts to play
the DVD in the drive and I then get the "Video frame buffering failed too
many times." From time to time, I'm able to see a second or two the DVD
in the drive, then the system freezes for a minute or so, then the frame
buffer error appears. I've attached the "mythfrontend -v playback" log
for playing an ISO (with version info). If I'm looking at this correctly,
I find it strange that when attempting to watch an ISO, an error "Failed
to open DVD device at /dev/dvd." If additional info is needed, let me
know.
