Comment(by hans at ginder.xs4all.nl):

 log shows first scan with 12109000 H dvb-s2 fec auto as parameters. This
 will scan, but will not lock or find any channels. Changing the FEC to
 9/10 results in an immidiate parameter error, no actual scanning takes
 place or is included in the logging.

 DVB-S2 is hauppauge nova HD s2 and TeVii DVB-S2 S470
