Comment:

 This is almost definitely a misconfiguration of your display/aspect ratio,
 an improper approach for changing the CC font, or a broken freetype
 configuration.  Please ask for help on the -users list with a description
 of your display/aspect settings and how you went about changing the CC
 font to Arial Bold.
