#7221: Bad custom search can crash mythweb
---------------------------------+------------------------------------------
Reporter: ryan.goat at gmail.com | Owner: kormoc
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: minor | Milestone: unknown
Component: Plugin - MythWeb | Version: head
Severity: medium | Mlocked: 0
---------------------------------+------------------------------------------
Using mythweb I tried to create a custom recording title search rule to
record the upcoming ABC show "V". Well the recording rule matches any
show with the letter 'v' in the title (not what I wanted). Mythbackend
immedatly started recording on all available tuners. I can't access most
of the pages on mythweb. If I choose any of the following: listings;
Searches; Recording Schedules; Upcoming Recordings; or Recorded Programs,
get the following error:
{{{
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 71 bytes) in /var/www/mythweb/classes/MythBackend.php on line 179
}}}
This is on a 64 bit machine with 8GB of RAM.
I expected custom recording title searches would look for an exact title
match. Not sure which component should be fixed (the way custom recording
rules work or make mythweb more tolerant of this type of situation).
Sorry I can't supply the SVN version right now. It is running SVN from
last week.
